![]() ![]() ![]() Students will continue to strengthen fundamental bar progressions to help in the process of learning more advanced skills such as kips, clear-hip circles, and flyaways. Students will complete a front handspring on vault, while still concentrating on a tight, hollowed body position throughout. ![]() Students will work on back and front handsprings, aerials, and round-off back handsprings. Level 4 is where technical fundamentals, combined with the hard-earned strength and flexibility developed in previous levels, begin to transform into powerful skills and graceful sequences. On balance beam, students will begin to execute handstands, chasses, turns, leaps, and more advanced jumps. Back hip circles, double back hip circles, single leg shoot through and mill circles will be mastered in this level. Students will continue to work their pullovers on bars and will be concentrating on keeping legs together and straight. Students will complete dive rolls and handstand to flat back on vault, while maintaining a tight body position. Students will demonstrate front and back walkovers and learn a round-off. Level 3 students are ready to take off! Our emphasis is placed on ensuring students continue to develop and maintain excellent form and technique as they begin mastering more advanced skills on all events. Students will learn introductory beam connections, concentrating on body positioning, clean lines, and fluidity. Students will be taught a back hip circle while maintaining a proper hollow body position. On bars, students will master the pull over mount and other skills that develop strength in the upper body and core. Students will be introduced to back bend kick-overs, and working progression to develop a back-handspring. They will run, hurdle onto a spring board, forward roll into the pit on vault. Level 2 students are typically advanced out of our Level 1 classes. Level 2 curriculum emphasizes developing strength and flexibility. They will develop the foundational skills needed for each event, such as body positions, running technique, upper body strength and balance. Students also utilize our Trampolines, Foam Pits, Spring Floors and our vast collection of mat configurations to learn proper gymnastics techniques. Girls in Level 1 learn all the same exciting events seen at the Olympics, including Floor Exercise, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Vault. All our students start in Level 1 and graduate to the next! Our curriculum is designed to provide a high energy, non-competitive, achievement-oriented program full of life skills, conditioning and flexibility with lots of fun! Girls have 4 levels of classes which progress is skills and difficulty. ![]() Levels 2 and 3 offer a progession of skills and difficulty for our students to learn and grow in the sport. We embrace individuality and celebrate success at all levels! After introduction to vault, parallel and high bars, pommel horse, rings, floor exercise and trampoline (oh yes, there are trampolines!), they will begin developing body awareness, along with fundamental and foundational skills that apply not only to gymnastics, but all athletics! Every athlete progresses at different rates and times. For that very reason, there is never any pressure to attain certain skills, advance to another level or try and keep pace with any other participants in their class. Level 1 is a fun introduction to rolling, bouncing, twisting and all around movement awaits every child that enters our gym! From warming up their muscles to going upside down on the rings, they will experience it all! We focus first on knowledge of the equipment and their comfort level with each event they visit. It will build overall body strength, increase coordination, agility, flexibility and teach mental focus.īoys Gymnastics is offered in 3 levels at the recreational level.
